I made a free tool that turns PNGs and SVGs into printable magnets with embedded magnets

Wait 5 sec.

I wanted an easier way to turn simple artwork into fridge magnets without manually modeling every magnet cavity in CAD, so I built Magnet Maker 3D - https://magnetmaker3d.com/ You upload a PNG, JPG, or SVG, enter your print dimensions and magnet size, and it generates a multicolor 3MF with magnet cavities automatically placed inside the design. You can adjust: Magnet diameter, thickness, quantity, and placement Nozzle size, first-layer height, and standard layer height Print dimensions, color capacity, and cavity clearance It runs in your browser, processes your artwork locally, and doesn’t require an account. There are sample designs to try, including a flat Benchy magnet. The idea is to pause the print, insert the magnets, and resume printing to seal them inside. The tool calculates the layers, but you still need to add the pause in your slicer. Full disclosure: this is my project. The generator is free, and the optional supplies page contains affiliate links. I’d be interested to see what people make with it, especially custom logos, original artwork, and gifts. submitted by /u/JoshuaC7 to r/3DPrintingTools [link] [comments]
