Is it worth changing the PS5 fan settings using Breeze?

Wait 5 sec.

I've been experimenting with the fan settings on my PS5 using the Breeze homebrew app from the Prospero Store, and I'm curious whether it's actually worth changing the default fan settings. While playing Spider-Man 2, I noticed the following: Stock fan settings (default preset): Average temperature of around 74°C. Breeze custom preset (25% fan speed): Average temperature of around 66°C. That's roughly an 8°C temperature reduction with the custom preset. For those who have experimented with custom fan curves or Breeze, a few questions: Is running a custom fan setting actually beneficial in the long run? Is 25% fan speed a reasonable setting, or should I increase it? Is there any real benefit to keeping the PS5 around 66°C instead of 74°C? I'd appreciate hearing from people who have experience with custom PS5 fan settings. submitted by /u/seifmohamed1412 [link] [comments]
