I honestly can’t take this anymore. I’m so fed up with everything.

Wait 5 sec.

The patient was supposed to be discharged but because of the dialysis catheter we needed the doctor’s signature before discharge. (It’s a whole long ridiculous story.) The doctor was in the ER and couldn’t come up to the ward. Meanwhile, the patient and their relative started yelling and making a scene at the nurses’ station so I called the doctor again hoping we could sort things out. And what did I get in return? “What do you expect me to do? Be in two places at once? Just hang up the phone.” And then she actually hung up on me. I swear I’m at my breaking point. I have to deal with the patient’s anger, their relative’s attitude, and now the doctor’s frustration too. Everyone takes their anger out on me, as if I’m somehow responsible for everything. I’m just trying to do my job but I feel like I’m being pulled in a million different directions with absolutely no support. I’m so emotionally drained. I’m tired of being stuck in the middle and having to put up with everyone’s attitude. I just can’t do this anymore. I'm sitting at the nurses’ station right now, trying so hard not to burst into tears. submitted by /u/kamelya00 [link] [comments]
