Bradley Barcola says it was the “right time” to leave Paris Saint-Germain when he joined Liverpool in the summer transfer window. The Reds shelled out an initial £106 million to sign the winger, rising to a potential £123 million with add-ons, which would make him the second-most expensive signing in club history. The France international enjoyed tremendous success with PSG, winning the UEFA Champions League twice. But given the fierce competition for places in the team, he wasn’t starting as many games as he would have liked, including last season’s win over Arsenal in the final. Barcola found it “very difficult” to depart Paris after three years with the club, but he had no doubts about joining Liverpool. I didn’t have any doubts and I just knew I had to come here.
