One Disney park has announced plans to shutter an attraction hours ahead of the rest of the park, starting today. This isn’t an unusual practice at Disney’s theme parks. At Walt Disney World, Disney’s Animal Kingdom regularly closes several attractions before the park itself. Kilimanjaro Safaris often finishes operating before sunset, while Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail and Maharajah Jungle Trek also have shorter hours to accommodate the animals that live there.Credit: Brittany DiCologero, Inside the MagicThe same applies at Magic Kingdom, where the Main Street Vehicles typically stop running in the afternoon, even when the park remains open late into the evening. These vintage vehicles transport guests along Main Street, U.S.A., but generally finish operating before the street becomes crowded with guests gathering for nighttime entertainment.Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, another attraction begins early closures today.Mickey Mouse Show Begins Early ClosuresStarting November 7, Vacation Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will close several hours earlier than usual on select dates. The animated show, which plays at the Mickey Shorts Theater in Echo Lake, will now operate from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. instead of its usual 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. schedule.Credit: DisneyThe shortened hours will apply to all 15 dates of Disney Jollywood Nights, which returns tonight. The theater will close four hours before the park closes to regular guests at 7 p.m., while the separately ticketed Christmas event runs from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.This marks a change from last year, when Disney closed Vacation Fun entirely for the Jollywood Nights season. The attraction shut down on October 20, 2025, and didn’t reopen until December 27. During that period, Disney repurposed the theater as a merchandise location for the holiday event.Vacation Fun opened in March 2020, alongside Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. The 10-minute animated show features Mickey and Minnie Mouse reminiscing about their past vacations, combining new animation with clips from Disney’s Mickey Mouse shorts. It plays in the space that previously housed Star Wars: Path of the Jedi.Disney hasn’t confirmed why the show will close early this year. However, the theater could once again be used to sell exclusive Jollywood Nights merchandise, with the earlier closing time allowing staff to prepare the space.Credit: Jeremy Thompson, FlickrFor now, the show is scheduled to resume its regular hours on non-event dates.Disney Jollywood Nights takes place on 15 select nights between today and January 5, 2027. November dates include November 7, 14, 16, 21, 23, and 28, followed by December 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, and 23. For the first time, the event will extend into January, with additional parties on January 3 and 5.Jollywood Nights is also introducing several new experiences for 2026 in what some have deemed an effort to save the Disney World event. The Checkin’ It Twice Lounge will debut in Animation Courtyard with a live DJ and specialty drinks, while George Sanderson and Needleman from Monsters, Inc. will join the character meet-and-greet lineup. Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Genie will also make their first appearances in the returning Glisten! ice-skating show. Are you attending Disney Jollywood Nights? The post Effective Immediately: Disney Attraction To Close Five Hours Earlier Than Usual appeared first on Inside the Magic.
