Stimulate (Tapit) dominated the Dwyer Stakes with an easy victory over 6-5 favorite 'TDN Rising Star, presented by Hagyard' Sea Strike (Midshipman). The returning 'Rising Star' Ted Noffey (Into Mischief) ran off the board.Sent away from the gate at 9-1 odds, the son of Tapit was content to watch the frontrunner post an opening quarter in :22.98 and a half-mile in :45.63. Sea Strike was well off that pace in last as Ted Noffey loped along from fifth on the outside. They took closer order on the turn after six panels in 1:10 flat and Stimulate rolled into the lead coming off the bend.It looked briefly like Sea Strike would be the looming danger, but the winner had also found another gear late. He kicked on with it to win with air to spare over the 'Rising Star'. Igniter (Volatile) ran third. The Dwyer was Junior Alvarado's third win on the card. The final time was 1:33.64. Stimulate was last seen running third in the Bourbon Flight Stakes at Churchill Downs behind GSW & GISP Plutarch (Into Mischief) and GSW Local Knowledge (Yaupon).O/B-Claiborne Farm and Adel Dilschneider; T-Bill Mott. and Junior Alvarado take the Dwyer S. at Belmont Park!
