Hello, so I recently caved in and got myself a 12.20 ps5 because I found it for a rather good price and I’m loving it so far, but I really underestimated the storage issue. I have like 3 games on it and even though I have like 282gb still unused I can’t seem to install another bigger game on it. Unfortunately, I don’t have a fast nvme external drive, all I have is a slow laptop drive in an enclosure so I can’t run games off of it (I did try with some smaller titles but the loading times are insane) and I can’t afford to get a ssd right now, so I’m wondering if there’s a way to have an extracted and ready-to- go game file on the external drive that I can just transfer over to the internal ssd and play it? I’ve tried transferring some of the smaller titles with a file explorer (just move the files from the external drive to the homebrew folder) and it doesn’t work 100% of the times, some titles did run normally while for others I could play them off of the external but when moved, I got “can’t open” error message. If there’s a fool-proof way to accomplish what I’m trying to do here I would greatly appreciate it if you can share it with me. Thank you in advance! submitted by /u/soulab [link] [comments]
