I built an iPhone money app alone. Honest feedback wanted from people who've used Copilot or Monarch

Wait 5 sec.

I'm Bish, an indie developer with 25 years in enterprise software. For the last couple of months I've been building Breeze, an iPhone app (US only) for the same job as Copilot Money or Monarch: you connect your accounts and see where you stand. Who it's for: people who want a clear monthly answer to "am I okay?" and would rather not read charts. What I tried to do differently: it gives one plain-English verdict each month ("Steady, $320 to spare" or "At risk"), and every number is one tap from the transactions behind it. The AI only turns your question into a search. It never sees your amounts or balances, and the totals are computed in code. No ads, no affiliate links, and I never sell data. Banks connect through Plaid, so I never see your login. Price: you can link one bank free for 7 days with no card. After that, live bank data is $3.99 a month. There's also a sample household you can explore with no sign-up. Two things I'd love feedback on: What would make you link a bank to a small new app? Is the monthly verdict useful, or just a gimmick? Brutal answers welcome. I'm not here to push downloads. App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/breeze-budget-expenses/id6793185188 submitted by /u/Outrageous_Row_5547 [link] [comments]
