Personally, as always, I'll wait for the release and then assess the market over the following hours to decide how to approach it, if the opportunity allows. Otherwise, I'll leave it until Monday. 🟢 Scenario 1 – Weak NFP | Gold LONG - NFP below 65K, especially below 40K. - Unemployment above 4.2%, meaning 4.3% or higher. - Monthly average hourly earnings below 0.3%, ideally 0.2% or lower. What I'd like to see: - US 2-year yield moving lower. - DXY moving lower. - Real yields potentially declining. - Gold confirming the bullish reaction. 🔴 Scenario 2 – Strong NFP | Gold SHORT - NFP above 65K, especially above 100K. - Unemployment below 4.2%, meaning 4.1%. - Monthly average hourly earnings above 0.3%, especially 0.4% or higher. What I'd like to see: - US 2-year yield moving higher. - DXY moving higher. - Real yields potentially increasing. - Gold confirming the bearish pressure. ⚠️ Scenario 3 – Mixed Data | NO TRADE - Strong NFP but rising unemployment. - Weak NFP but significantly stronger wage growth. - NFP in line with expectations, weaker wages and unchanged unemployment. In this case, I wouldn't anticipate anything. I'd wait for yields and the US dollar to show which component is having the strongest impact on the market. If the data doesn't deliver a meaningful surprise, we need to remain cautious. I don't want to guess the numbers. I want to trade the market's reaction to the data. Patience. Always.
