Tottenham fans will love the latest development regarding Mikey Moore amidst his less-than-ideal start to his loan spell at FC Koln.Spurs fans would have been hoping to see the 19-year-old take the Bundesliga by storm like Luka Vuskovic did last season, but that has not quite materialised.Moore has been criticised for his lack of assertiveness on the ball by the German media, and he is still looking for his first goal for Koln.In fact, it was claimed by Bild a couple of days ago that inside Koln, the loan signing of Moore is seen as a ‘total mess’, and senior figures at the Bundesliga club are frustrated that the teenager is only able to show his quality in flashes.Mikey Moore’s stats for Koln in the BundesligaStatisticTotalAppearances7Starts4Substitute appearances3Minutes played412Goals0Assists0Goal involvements0Shots on target4Aerial duels won5Yellow cards0Red cards0Crosses2Highest speed31.78 km/hDistance covered51.7 kmCredit: @thefrederikkejensen / InstagramTottenham starlet Mikey Moore gets first England U21 call-upHowever, it has been a different story for the Spurs youngster as far as international age group football is concerned this season.Mikey Moore scored two goals in two games for England’s U20s during the last international break, captaining the side to wins over Italy and France. The youngster was the best player on the pitch in both those games, and he has now been rewarded with a call-up to the England U21 squad for the first time.Moore will join Archie Gray in the U21s squad as they face off against France and Portugal in the upcoming international break.Moore could come up against two of his Spurs teammates during the international breakMoore and Gray could both come up against some familiar faces as they take to the field for the Young Lions.Their first match is against Portugal’s U21 side, who were captained by Mateus Fernandes during last month’s international break. They will then take on France, who were led by Mathys Tel last month, but the 21-year-old forward now has a shot at making the senior squad.Tel has been included in Zinedine Zidane’s preliminary 50-man squad for Les Blues, and will have the chance to catch the eye of the Real Madrid legend before the final squad is whittled down to around 25 to 29 players for the Nations League fixtures.Mikey Moore’s stats for Rangers in 2025/26StatisticTotalAppearances47Starts31Substitute appearances16Minutes played2,779Goals7Assists4Goal involvements11Yellow cards3Red cards0READ MORE: ‘I am a fan’ – Brad Friedel makes exciting prediction on Tottenham’s Europe hopes and Antonin KinskyThe post Mikey Moore may be in a ‘total mess’ at Koln, but he just got a big promotion appeared first on Spurs Web.
