Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says that Bukayo Saka is “going to be out for a while” through injury, but he also provided a positive update on Ezri Konsa. The winger sustained a muscle injury during the Gunners’ draw with Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League a fortnight ago, causing him to miss wins over Everton and Liverpool in the Premier League. Unfortunately for the north London outfit, Saka is going to remain on the treatment table for several more weeks. Arsenal injury news as Saka and Konsa updates delivered“We are talking about weeks,” Arteta said in his pre-match press conference ahead of this Saturday’s meeting with Hull City at the Emirates Stadium.“Let’s see, after the international break he will start hitting the pitch and doing more activities depending on how he feels. But unfortunately he is going to be out for a while.”Arteta added that it was too early to determine a potential return date for the 25-year-old. “I don’t want to put too much pressure on the guys. They are doing the best to get him fit but it’s still quite early.”Read – Arsenal star White ‘deserves to open new chapter’ with EnglandMeanwhile, Konsa should be fit and available for selection against Hull after taking a knock against Slavia Prague in midweek. The centre-back was subbed off early as a precaution. “He is fine. He was feeling much better today,” Arteta said. “We took him out for precaution and the amount of games he has been playing but yesterday and today he is feeling good.”William Saliba could make his first appearance of the season after being an unused substitute in Prague. The defender has recovered from a back injury he suffered while playing for France in the FIFA World Cup. New manager Zinedine Zidane could call him up for the upcoming international break, which Arteta says he would no problem with as he needs minutes. “We’ve been in very close contact [with France], I think they’re announcing at 5pm this evening, so they have all the information,” he said“Now it’s about them, about Zinedine [Zidane] in this case, to give the call. We will accept whatever it is. It’s more between them, because William needs minutes as well. “I know how much he loves to be around the national team, it’s a new manager, a really exciting one as well, so whatever he’s decided is fine for us.”Read – Liam Rosenior insists he’s ‘not a joke’ after Chelsea media scrutinySee Also – Five of the best Premier League away kits in 2026/27Follow The Football Faithful on Social Media:Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | YouTube | TikTokThe post Arsenal injury news: Saka and Konsa updates delivered ahead of Hull clash appeared first on The Football Faithful.
