Hull City have struggled to win matches in recent weeks, but the Tigers made an encouraging start to the season and have remained a difficult opponent despite their recent decline in form. Their performances have shown that they can compete against strong teams, meaning Arsenal will need to be fully focused when the sides meet today. The Gunners are expected to collect all three points at home, but they know that expectations alone will not win them the match. They must deliver on the pitch and show the quality that has made them one of the leading teams in the Premier League.Arsenal will not expect Hull to provide the same challenge as Liverpool did at Anfield, where they secured an important victory. However, underestimating an opponent can have serious consequences, as their experience against Fleetwood Town in the League Cup demonstrated.Arteta demands respect for HullMikel Arteta has managed Arsenal long enough to understand the importance of approaching every fixture with the right mentality. The manager will not want his players to become complacent simply because they are facing a team that has struggled for results recently.Hull have earned their place in the competition through their performances, and Arsenal recognise that they have the quality and determination to make the contest difficult. The Gunners have therefore been preparing carefully, with Arteta making sure his players understand what they must do to secure victory. The Arsenal manager has also acknowledged the progress Hull have made and the challenges they have overcome to reach this level.Mikel Arteta press conference (Getty Images)Arteta explains what Arsenal must doSpeaking about the opposition via Arsenal Media, Arteta praised Hull’s journey and stressed that his players must deliver a strong performance.“It’s been an incredible journey from what the club has done last year.“Some of the difficult games they’ve come through and competed in, they’ve earned the right to be here and been impressive.“We’ve been discussing that with the boys on what to expect from them tomorrow and to be clear on what we need to do to beat them. Tomorrow is the main focus of everything we’ve done, we need to go, be better than Hull, and beat them.”Arsenal will now look to turn that preparation into a positive result. Arteta knows his team must respect Hull while remaining focused on their own performance, as another victory would help maintain their momentum in the title race._____________________________________________________________________________________________ADMIN COMMENTSo here are some simple rules which I must insist commenters follow….You agree not to give any personal abuse to other Arsenal fans.
