Tottenham’s half-time player ratings for their Premier League clash with Leeds United are in, with the Lilywhites heading into the break at 0-0.Tottenham first-half player ratings vs LeedsAntonín Kinský – The Czech international has been forced into a few saves, although they were routine stops, with Leeds barely threatening. 6.Pedro Porro – Back in the starting XI for the first time since the clash with Aston Villa, he struggled against Gudmundsson down the right in the early stages. He eventually grew into the game, getting into good positions in attack, but his crosses were far from good. 6.Jan Paul van Hecke – In the early stages, when Leeds started with plenty of intent and looked to get crosses into the box, the centre-back was on guard and got his head to several of them. So far in this half, Tottenham have not been able to camp in the opposition half, which has limited the passes into midfield we have become used to from him. 7.Micky van de Ven – Picked up an early yellow card after Jayden Bogle got past him with a nice bit of footwork. Aside from that, he was barely called into action. He did manage to play a few line-breaking passes to the forwards at times. 7.Andy Robertson – Looks to be a bit more conservative here, not really going beyond Tel on the overlap, which has limited his attacking contribution. Defensively, he has been solid, although his short pass to Van de Ven early on almost proved costly. 6.Mateus Fernandes – Did not have the best of starts, with a few loose passes, and was also involved in a penalty shout. However, he grew into the game as it went on, acting as a lone six. He broke up play well and dictated the tempo of proceedings. A pretty solid outing. 7.5.Sandro Tonali – De Zerbi looks to have broken up the double pivot of Tonali and Fernandes here, opting instead for two eights. So far, that tactical tweak has barely paid off, but Tonali has offered some presence in the box, often making runs from deep to join in when the ball is out wide. 6.Archie Gray – Operating as an eight, the midfielder has had very little effect on proceedings and has barely seen the ball in midfield. He did have a half-chance when Kudus flashed a dangerous ball across goal, and had Gray stuck out a foot, he could well have opened the scoring. 5.5Mohammed Kudus – Has looked lively and, as usual, has beaten his man a few times and got a few crosses in, but they have largely been inaccurate, with James Trafford gathering. He did have a good chance on the break when he was in loads of space with plenty of options to pick out, but instead went for goal, and his effort was straight at Trafford. 6.Photo by George Wood/Getty ImagesOmar Marmoush – Had a really good chance midway through the first half after Tel played him in with a cutback following a fast break, but the Egyptian failed to get enough power behind his shot. The forward also looks to be struggling with the physicality, often unable to make long balls stick. 5.Mathys Tel – His best moment came on a quick break, when he had plenty of space to drive at the Leeds backline. He found Marmoush with his cutback, but the forward’s effort was tame. He took a blow late in the half when Bogle caught him studs-first on the Achilles, and he needed treatment. Bogle, however, was not sent off after a lengthy VAR check. 5.5.SubstitutesDominic Solanke – Replaced Tel, who could not continue following Bogle’s challenge.
