I always felt like RSS was a great idea but also if you don't put some time & work into it, you're rapidly buried into a shit ton of news you don't care about. For me the frustration started as: I like reading articles from THAT source but also... I don't care about 90% of what they write about. I just want the news about my shows and my games. And actually, even for my shows and games, I don't want ALL the news. I don't give a damn about those Avengers Doomsday fan theories articles or all these guides for Elden Ring. And then of course as you add more sources, you get duplicated articles and it gets even worse. So I built my own solution. One RSS feed per topic that you want news about. There are 40.000+ RSS feeds to choose from, focused on TV, Gaming & Esports: tv shows, movies, people, studios/networks/publishers, games, franchises, players, teams, events & competitions. No need to bother with rules, keywords filtering, etc. Articles come from 150+ sources, duplicated stories are collapsed and paywalled articles are flagged (or removed, your call) so you don't get jebaited.
