Hey everyone, I’m Michael, the developer of Play Credits. It’s a small app I made around a pretty simple idea: practice your instrument and earn time for the apps you’d otherwise get distracted by. Problem: Sometimes the hard part is putting the phone down and getting started. You choose which apps to block, and Play Credits listens during your practice session to count playing toward earned app time. You can use it yourself, or set it up in adult-managed mode for your kid. Comparison: Apple’s built-in Screen Time lets you set app limits. What I wanted to add was a way to earn that time through instrument practice. It isn’t a music teacher, it doesn’t judge how well you play, and the detection isn’t perfect. It’s just another way to help build a routine. Pricing: I originally made it a subscription, but honestly that didn’t feel right for this. It’s now seven days free, then $4.99 once if you want to keep using it. Nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends. It’s available for iPhone and iPad in the US: Play Credits on the App Store. If you try it and something is confusing or doesn’t work how you’d expect, let me know. I’m still working on it. submitted by /u/Copper_Clouds [link] [comments]
