A TikTok creator named Zay claimed he found the $200 hoodie he bought for the woman he was seeing in a photo of another man proposing to his wife. He shared the story in a video on TikTok, as reported by the Daily Dot. Zay said he went through the woman’s phone and allegedly found months of messages between her and a man named Brandon. He claimed she had given Brandon the white Spider hoodie he bought her after she said she liked it, and he said he was surprised to learn she had passed it on to another man. When Zay checked Brandon’s social media, he said he found a post of Brandon proposing to his wife while wearing the same hoodie. Zay said he was weighing whether to confront the woman, talk to Brandon, or message Brandon’s wife about what he found. It started with another name in her sleep Zay said he was hanging out at the woman’s apartment when he noticed her acting strangely about her phone. During dinner, he reached for some fries on the table, and she allegedly snatched her phone away with quick reflexes. Zay said he did not think much of it at the time. Later that night, Zay claimed he heard her repeating the name Brandon in her sleep. Since his name is Isaiah, he said he was confused and unlocked her phone with a passcode he already knew to find out whether his partner was cheating. He admitted the two were still in the talking phase but said he felt he needed clarity. Sleep talking is fairly common, with studies finding that up to 66% of people have done it at some point, according to the Sleep Foundation. The organization said people are rarely aware they are talking in their sleep and typically do not remember it when they wake up. It also said only about 17% of people reported an episode in the past three months, and roughly half of recorded sleep talking in one linguistic study was incomprehensible mumbling. Many viewers pointed out that the pair were not officially dating, so Zay was not exactly catching a cheating girlfriend. One commenter wrote, “Dawg if you guys aren’t officially dating then that’s not cheating,” while another urged him to “confront your girl, the guy AND tell the wife,” adding, “Bro you gotta be willing to burn it all down.” Zay said he was more focused on getting his hoodie back than anything else.
