Most palette tools I tried were great at making colors, but I wanted to see them doing real work on buttons, cards and text, in light and dark mode, and then paste the theme straight into a project. So I built Shade Shaker. How it works: Press Space for a new palette and lock the colors you like. Watch a sample phone app or web dashboard re-theme as you go. Copy the theme code for Flutter, HTML/CSS, Tailwind, React, Vue, Angular, React Native, SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, .NET XAML, Python or design tokens. It also does palettes from photos, a contrast checker that fixes hard-to-read text in one click, shade scales and gradients. A few choices I made along the way: - Free, with nothing locked behind a subscription. - No account and no tracking. It works offline and everything stays on your Mac. - Simple over packed: most options stay out of sight until you need them. It's on the Mac App Store now (macOS 14+), with a Windows version coming. I built it solo with Flutter. https://shadeshaker.app I would really value feedback: what's confusing, what's missing, and which framework you'd want next. submitted by /u/RelativeVisit3468 [link] [comments]
