Zipclay – describe an object, an AI agent builds the 3D model (I'm the founder)

Wait 5 sec.

I built Zipclay, a place where you describe an object and an AI agent builds an editable 3D model. Then you change it by chat ("make it purple"), share it, and other people can remix it. Why: I wanted a file I could slice without learning CAD, and I wanted to fix mistakes by talking instead of re-rolling a mesh. How: a Gemini-based agent writes Blender code for functional objects (planters, stands, signs) and uses image-to-3D for organic ones. After each build it checks rendered front/side/top views and fixes defects. Chat edits keep untouched geometry. Real timings from my own runs: a planter in about a minute, a phone stand in 47 s, figurines 5 to 8 minutes. It still fails on thin repeated features (a three-slot toaster came back with two slots merged). I'm not claiming printed results. You can try it twice without signing up; a free account gets 3 new models a month with GLB export. https://zipclay.com/make/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_campaign=launch14 Happy to hear what breaks. What object would you try first? submitted by /u/Abject-Ad-6227 to r/SideProject [link] [comments]
