In other hacking communities developers often keep multiple exploits up their sleeves so they can use them on newer firmware versions without them ever getting fixed. This is useful for example because some community members use these exploits to dump games from higher firmware versions, but in the case of the Switch 2 this talk is just about userland exploits in games, and Nintendo most likely will fix FS in the next update so dumping on higher firmware versions will not be possible unless a new FS or kernel exploit is found.
