GII Fasig-Tipton Fountain of Youth Stakes winner Simplification (Not This Time–Simply Confection by Candy Ride) will stand the upcoming 2027 season at Rockridge Stud in Hudson, NY, the farm announced Saturday. He will stand for a fee of $5,000 LFSN.An 16 3/4-length maiden special weight winner as a 2-year-old at Gulfstream, Simplification followed that up with a win in the listed Mucho Macho Man Stakes at three and a runner-up finish to White Abarrio (Race Day) in the GIII Holy Bull Stakes. He was then a 3 1/2-length winner in the Fountain of Youth, before finishing third in the GI Curlin Florida Derby shortly after. He finished fourth in the GI Kentucky Derby that year as well. Upon his retirement from racing, Simplification entered stud in Florida in 2024 where he has covered a total of 255 mares.“The quality of his foals justify the investment I'm making in Simp's future by moving him to New York,” said owner Tami Bobo. “The owner, breeder, and stallion awards are too good to ignore, and I felt like this was the right time to jump in with both feet.”“Simplification's first crop is showing great promise,” added Tristan de Meric, who owns de Meric Sales. “Similar to him, his offspring are strong physicals and have great temperament. We have several in our care, and they are all showing positive signs in their early training.”“New York's program has continued to improve year after year and the quality of stallions we're bringing into the state reflects that,” said Rockridge owner/operator Lere Visagie. “Purse parity, the Empire Trillium Series, the new Belmont Park give all NY breeders a great reason to stay and invest even more in this state's strong program.”Rockridge Stallion Director Erin Robinson added, “When I saw him in person, I knew we needed him in our barn. He is stunning. Not to mention that his sireline is an excellent complement to our current roster and will fit a wide variety of mares on pedigree.”The post Simplification Moves To New York’s Rockridge Stud appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
