Xepak - declarative REST, RPC, MCP builder based on TOML DSL and Lua scripting

Wait 5 sec.

I’ve never been a huge fan of PostgREST because of how heavily it relies on PL/pgSQL. Originally, I just wanted a simple REST service builder using Lua. But it turned out that it could also serve JSON-RPC and MCP and initial SQLite support allows private & local deployments. Right now Xepak is good for: rapid prototyping to quickly build a stateful API without writing backend boilerplate self-hosted services that runs on your own hardware or VMs with zero cloud dependency local-first applications local RAG for AI/LLM sandboxes that keeps AI agent knowledge on your side Xepak lives here https://github.com/rustrum/xepak submitted by /u/rumatoest to r/webdevelopment [link] [comments]
