We’re here to win, right? The people that we’ve attracted to the football club, the long list of people, everyone is here to win.“If you work for Tottenham, when we talk about being here to win, that means we’re here to win the Premier League. That’s what this football club wants to do.“It wants to win the Premier League and it wants to be consistent in the Champions League and it wants to ultimately win the Champions League.“Can I tell you what year that’s going to happen in? Obviously I can’t but that’s what we’re aiming for and that’s what I want every single person that works for this club to think about every single day.“I want them to never settle and I want us to be completely relentless in that pursuit.”Can Spurs back up Venkatesham’s ambitions? This is far from the first time the Tottenham CEO has stated the club’s aim to win the Champions League or the Premier League.Back in June 2025, he made a similar statement. In fact, former Spurs chairman Daniel Levy had similar aims but never delivered. So far, under the new regime, Tottenham have shown a willingness to invest in their squad, doing so in the summer transfer window, when they spent close to £400 million.IncomingsAndrew RobertsonFreeMarcos SenesiFreeMartin DubravkaFreeJan Paul van Hecke£52mMateus Fernandes£85mSandro Tonali£100mSavinho£85mOmar Marmoush£60mTosin Adarabioyo£12mMykhailo MudrykLoanTotal spent£394mOutgoingsLuka Vuskovic£50mWill Lankshear£20mRadu Dragusin£21mAlejo Veliz£7.7mAlfie Devine£6mTynan Thompson£8mManor Solomon£7mCristian Romero£34.1mAshley Phillips£20mDjed Spence£30mKevin Danso£25mPape Matar Sarr£25.6mTotal received£254.8mTottenham’s net spend£139.2mHowever, Spurs fans will want to see the club show ambition more consistently if they are to believe in its ambitions.READ MORE: ‘Spurs swagger’ – Chris Sutton predicts Leeds vs Tottenham score at Elland RoadThe post ‘We want to win the Premier League and Champions League’ – Tottenham CEO sets lofty trophy aim appeared first on Spurs Web.
