I was driving then suddenly someone got caught or fall down that cause a leg fracture because he tried to avoid the tricycle in his right. It was my right wheel. The victim is 8 years old boy, walking alone with an umbrella. We had an agreement that I will cover all hospital expenses and some miscellaneous medical needs such as diaper, gauze, etc. Also, since according to them they are short financially, they don't have the capacity to shoulder any expense. I agreed that I will also shoulder payment for magbabantay when the kid will be confined. Also, expenses such as gasoline also part of the miscellaneous. And of course post op like therapy. They also want me to shoulder expense in the future if there are adjustments needed. Here's my 2 questions 1. Do I really need to shoulder all the expenses? Will the parents not negligent to have a 8 year old boy walking alone? 2. Do I also need to shoulder future medical expenses related to that injury Another thing, the mother refuses do bring her child to Philippine Orthopedic after the first intervention done in the public hospital but not yet seen by orthopedic surgeon. The reason is because she wants her child to be confined in different city due to availability of caretakers needed when the child will be hospitalized. My worry is, delayed intervention may cause bigger damage to the injury. Hope someone can help me give legal advice. Im not rich and we intend to have him hospitalize in a public hospital to avail government services. submitted by /u/Weary-TearY367 to r/LegalPh [link] [comments]
