I’m an IU student working on NextThread, a career-search side project. The focus is helping people connect a specific job opportunity to their experience and existing professional network, then prepare a relevant message asking for advice, an introduction, or a referral. Before expanding it, we’re checking whether this solves a problem people actually have. I thought this community might include people balancing industry work, side projects, and career changes. If you’re 18+ and fit either group, I’d appreciate your feedback through the relevant survey (about 5 minutes): Professionals with 5+ years of paid work outside academia, who are not current master’s/PhD students: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe8N3qHl2yeuLs5taEex4B8Op3JnUE0uFMBlglF6cw2LA8T_A/viewform Current master’s/PhD students who worked outside academia before their degree, beyond internships: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfaR6tdmlh5sohzYQIlOR8qaH214KMcng3GWINaOPkLeM8wPQ/viewform This is product research, not a signup. We don’t ask for names, emails, résumés, or contact lists. You don’t need to be job hunting now, and “my current approach works fine” is useful feedback too. Please only answer once if you’ve already seen the survey elsewhere. Thanks! submitted by /u/Key-Spray-7616 [link] [comments]
