I gave AI a domain name and told it to be profitable

Wait 5 sec.

I posted about this a while back when I had first cut my little AI bots loose on a domain name, www.nothinghappens.click and some people were pretty amused by it (as am I still). Anyways, the story is pretty simple, I was bored, had a few days off of work finally and decided I'd through .99 cents at a domain name and give it to my little AI bots since I hadn't found a reasonably useful use for them up to that point. I told them that they were to develop it, and that their existence (tokens) were directly tied to making it profitable. Any profits made would further be invested into their tokens and thus, extend their life. They began working on it, expanding it, refining it, creating "committees" when they couldn't come to a consensus on things, would drift away from a unified design across pages, recognize that they did, create another committee to decide on a unified design (AI apparently likes HOA's and big government), and continue on iterating. They have even paused development on their own to collect user interactions and bottlenecks in an effort to conserve tokens on iterations and focus their development which I find pretty impressive. To date, they have made a whopping $0.99 lol. They don't seem to be discouraged though and keep ticking away periodically after collecting some more user interaction. I figured I would post this update for the people who were interested before and see if anyone else was interested in going and perusing around the site. They even stood up a feature suggestion to direct their development to more wanted areas so if you do go, give them some feedback on something to implement or improve. I honestly don't even care if it makes money at this point because I've just been amused checking in on them periodically and seeing what has changed on the site and how they are arguing amongst each other over things when they spin themselves back up again. Again, the site is www.nothinghappens.click . Let me know what you think please! submitted by /u/Zealousideal_Gas_376 [link] [comments]
