He calls out Roman Reigns for doubting his ability to be a champion. He's over the mentality of being overlooked. Jimmy Uso's music hits. Big Jim is upset as the Bloodline is at war right now, but what did Sami do when the 946 attacked. Didn't they used to be boys? But Sami reiterates this is a different world, he's the WWE champion. Zayn thought Jimmy of all people would understand, the one who had his back before anyone else. But also, Jimmy was always the one who did what he needed to do when push came to shove, which is what Sami says this is what he needs to do to get the respect he deserves. Jimmy warns him that he's made this personal and now he's got the Tribal Chief's full attention and is going to get his ass beat at Crown Jewel. Sami is fine with this, he's just glad Roman's taking it seriously and he's finally getting the respect and attention he deserves. As Sami goes to leave, the 946 appears and attacks Jimmy. Sami stands to the side, watching. The 946 lines up to stare him down, and Sami walks away as the beatdown continues. Sami is backstage when Rey Fenix stops by. He shakes his head and leaves. Sami is pissy and slaps another water bottle. Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae tell him to stop worrying about that sort of nonsense, and soon he'll give Johnny his title match, right? Sami says first he has to get through Crown Jewel and he's tired of all of these people scheming wanting a shot at the title. He's going to talk to Nick Aldis about making that match for him. Jackie Redmond talks to CM Punk backstage about how personal this match is with Kevin Owens. Punk says it's more personal to KO than him. He's got no issue with his mindset. But what's missing is the title, he lost it to a mediocre, midcard Sami Zayn because of Kevin Owens. He should be preparing himself for champ vs. champ against Roman Reigns but instead he has to deal with ex-girlfriend energy. Tonight, he'll take out Owens, and be on the road to getting his title back. Gunther heads to the ring to address the crowd. He wasn't scared on the Halloween show last week, saying he was doing everyone a favor taking out the freak show. He talks about Finn Bálor's downfall of his career and how instead of going back to the lab to bring himself up, he paired himself with that weirdo Danhausen. Gunther says he used to respect Finn but he has disrespected this great sport, and he wants the real Bálor to confront him like a man. Finn answers, talking about what he taps into as The Demon. But last week, it was him who smashed his ass through a table, and it was Gunther who looked like he saw a demon. This is Finn, no paint, and he's done waiting. They brawl, with Gunther eventually bailing. Byron Saxton talks to Fatal Influence. Jacy Jayne says they only speak facts. Tatum Paxley and Alexa Bliss were champions for 2 minutes maybe? Charlotte Flair should be embarrassed to be seen with them. Byron mentions they have the chance to retain the championship tonight. Fallon Henley says the locker room should take notice. During the Women's Tag Team Championship match, Tatum Paxley shows up to attack Jade Cargill. A brawl erupts and the match ends without a finish as Charlotte & Alexa Bliss join the fray, ultimately standing tall in the ring. Byron Saxton talks to Kevin Owens and the vitriol between them. Kevin says he tries to make people think he's calm and collected. But Punk got flustered when Kevin suggested the problem might be him. And while Kevin was getting treatment for his shoulder from medical, and he had HBK tell him he had to leave because Punk was rolling up for an NXT Championship match. But Punk isn't the future, why is he in NXT, and why is he politicking? Owens says all he's trying to do is send him to the past quicker than he'd like. Nick Aldis talks to Chelsea Green, saying he respects for what she's done as champion, but he wants to give her a chance to respond to comments made by Liv Morgan. Green talks about taking Liv's nasty comments to heart and wondering if she should be champion sometimes. Aldis (and the fans) encourage her. Liv Morgan interrupts saying this is why they don't give out participation awards. Byron Saxton talks to Trick Williams, your United States Champion, and he's tired of all the disrepsect. If Damian Priest has an issue, he knows where to find him.. The Priest/Frazer match ends when Frazer can't continue after going through the announce desk. Axiom attempted to assist Frazer but was also taken out. Additional Plugs Revisit the live threads: USA | Netflix Join our SquaredCircle Discord for live chat! Like other wrestling promotions?
