A lot of the stuff that didn’t work in the first movie is either quickly or quietly discarded.\This movie knows what it is, and it’s not shy about it whatsoever. It’s a film adaptation about a video game franchise that has always been cheesy and over-the-top; I say that in the most complimentary way I can. If you’re a fan of the games, you will enjoy it. If you liked the first movie, you will enjoy it. If you disliked the first movie, you will enjoy it.
