Accordingly, the IBF determined that there are no affected boxers, as the IBF acknowledges the rotation system among the IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO.“The IBF Board of Directors convened by video conference and determined that Usyk’s exception request should be granted, subject to the following conditions:“If Usyk loses, the IBF Heavyweight title will be declared vacant immediately.“If Usyk wins, the IBF will acknowledge the WBC’s position in the rotation and order the IBF mandatory bout for 180 days thereafter.“If the WBA grants a special permit, the IBF will acknowledge the WBA’s position in the rotation and order the IBF mandatory bout for 180 days thereafter.”Usyk is hoping to keep hold of as many belts as possibleGETTYAll the marbles will be at stake from Usyk’s end in the surprise clash.Verhoeven and Usyk clash – is an upset on?Usyk is expected to blow away the Dutchman, who is in just his second camp for a professional boxing fight ever. The boxing icon has never been beaten and Verhoeven faces a near impossible feat. However he believes given his natural size that he is the one to land the punch from the gods and record one of sport’s biggest ever upsets.“I’ve been dominating the sport of kickboxing for over a decade, facing the best, beating the very best,” he said.“But I don’t feel like I’m finished, I want to do something different.
