The Labour Party has proposed legal changes preventing the issuing of new licences for marine mammal parks in Malta.According to the proposal, Malta does not have enough space to host large facilities keeping marine mammals and other large sea animals in captivity.PL said it intends to amend the law so that no new licences can be granted for marine parks involving these types of animals.The proposal forms part of the party’s wider environmental and animal welfare programme ahead of the next general election.Should Malta stop allowing new marine mammal parks?•
