Bryson DeChambeau may have suffered a torrid week at Aronimink but he has still made time for his fans.DeChambeau has missed cuts in successive majors for the first time since 2017 after another poor showing at the PGA Championship.DeChambeau missed the cut at the 2026 PGA ChampionshipGettyFollowing his opening 76 in Philadelphia, DeChambeau could only muster a second round 71 to miss the cut by three strokes. His finishing score was also given some shine after three straight birdies to end his tournament but it’s been a woeful week for the LIV Golf superstar.DeChambeau was also out-of-sorts at The Masters last month as severe problems with his iron play continue to be all too evident.Despite his ongoing struggles, the popular 32-year-old still connected with the fans at Aronimink like few players can.The disappointment for his display was etched across his face throughout Friday’s round but after leaving the 18th green, he made a beeline to the crowds to sign more autographs. He did so before signing his card and has spent hours on property this week with his supporters.DeChambeau then declined any media duties and made a swift exit from Aronimink in his Bentley once his card was signed. After emerging from the scorer’s hut, DeChambeau was asked if he had some time for reporters but said simply: “I don’t. I really appreciate it though. Thank you so very much.”  DeChambeau, who will return to action for LIV Golf Korea on May 28, will now start focusing on the upcoming US Open.He is a two-time champion in America’s most elite tournament and the 126th edition starts on June 18.View Tweet: https://t.co/dUzBaM0eo5But DeChambeau will have to put in some serious hard work if he is to do any better than his recent showings with an extremely tough test expected at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club.Shinnecock is infamous for its firm and fast greens, brutal crosswinds and punishing rough. While DeChambeau’s driving will mean he’ll be able to deal with its daunting length, Shinnecock demands a premium on approach play to access difficult pins and that has been his Achilles’ heel this year.Back at Aronimink, DeChambeau was joined by several other top names in missing the cut.Tommy Fleetwood, Robert MacIntyre, Tyrrell Hatton, Viktor Hovland, Wyndham Clark, JJ Spaun and Keegan Bradley were among the star players to fail to make the weekend.DeChambeau’s struggles have continuedGettyInstead, it’s Alex Smalley and Maverick McNealy who top a congested leaderboard.Scottie Scheffler is also in the mix yet again and said yesterday that the Aronimink set-up might be the hardest he’s ever faced. He said: “It’s funny sometimes, I feel like the thing in our game right now, which I do enjoy, I love hard tests of golf, but it’s also the hardest game in the world and we’re trying to make it harder.“You can do that on a golf course like this – I mean, I truly believe they could have the winning score be whatever they want it to be. It could be over par if they want it to be, just based purely upon pin locations.“You just have to continue to try to hit good shots, and most of the pins today were, I mean, kind of absurd. “They were just so far into the areas where we thought the pins were going to be, and then they just – like the one on 14 was probably the hardest pin that I’ve seen in a long time.“Is that the best test? Who knows. It’s a different test. I think that’s what’s great about our game is very rarely do we play the same golf course, and even when you do at a place like Augusta, it’s different each and every year.“So conditions are always changing, the golf course is always changing. I think it’s the hardest game in the world and still just trying to solve a bit of the puzzle.”
