It also depends on what city you are in. In a hilly place like Seattle or San Francisco? Yeah. Just learning stick and having to drive hills all day would not be good for those around you. I would feel comfortable learning stick, but I drive in a flat area, very little hills but no stops on them. So I would not be worried about rolling back into people.
