You can breathe easy, GTA fans. The next installment in the franchise, GTA 6, won’t be delayed a third time, Take-Two Interactive confirmed in an earnings call today. Rumors started making their rounds on internet forums earlier in the week that the game would be delayed to February 2027. This all came shortly after Strauss Zelnick—CEO of Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar—reaffirmed the game would be launching on Nov. 19, 2026 in an interview with David Senra on May 17. So even though it was a hard-to-believe rumor in the first place because of Zelnick’s comments, many GTA fans were anxiously awaiting what could’ve been a heart-breaking announcement. And many looked towards today’s earnings call as the place for Rockstar to do it. It wouldn’t have been totally out of left field for another potential delay, seeing as how Rockstar delayed the game twice already, which is why so many tuned into the earnings call with baited breath. GTA 6 originally was slated for a fall 2025 release before being pushed to May 26, 2026 in May 2025. Six months later, in November 2025, it was pushed back even further to Nov. 21, 2026. Take-Two confirmed once again the Nov. 19 release date, squashing any potential for a February delay. So, no—you don’t have to reschedule your time-off requests, and we can all take a collective sigh of relief. That is, until the next grifter online wants their 15 seconds of fame and runs to 4chan to post a new delay “leak.” It seems like there’s a new rumor every week in the GTA 6 community. In most cases, it’s from an unverified source claiming to have some independent knowledge on the developer’s innerworkings. In others, it’s people reading too much into employee LinkedIn or Glassdoor posts, desperate for any crumbs of information that could point to a larger takeaway. Until Rockstar Games says otherwise, though, GTA 6 remains locked in for Nov. 19. Of course, that probably won’t stop the rumor mill from spinning. Give it a few days and someone on a forum will inevitably “know a guy” whose cousin’s dog walker overheard a Rockstar employee buying coffee.0The post No, GTA 6 is not being delayed to 2027, earnings call shows appeared first on Destructoid.
