The World Health Organisation has declared an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda a public health emergency of international concern. This outbreak has caused suspected deaths and confirmed cases in DRC's Ituri province. Uganda has also reported confirmed cases, including one death, from individuals travelling from the DRC.
