Nellore Rural MLA surprises all with his austerity drive - The HinduPublished - May 15, 2026 03:27 pm IST - NELLORENellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy riding an electric scooter to attend an inauguration ceremony in Nellore on Friday, as part of the austerity measures. | Photo Credit: ARRANGEMENTIn response to the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the in line with the initiative taken up by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy became the first to implement the same at his level.Mr. Reddy, who had scheduled a programme of attending the inauguration of 168 development projects to the tune of ₹17 crore in his constituency on Friday (May 15), reached the venue on a two-wheeler.Wearing a helmet and personally riding an electric scooter, the legislator started from his residence and reached the venue, a distance of over 6 km, to participate in the event.
