Ahead of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States in July, Disneyland Resort has made some patriotic updates to its version of Main Street, U.S.A. This follows the typical timeline for summer holiday decorations at the United States Disney parks, as Memorial Day is just a few days away.The lampposts along Main Street, U.S.A., are decorated with long banners featuring a blue top with a circle of small stars surrounding a large star, with red and white stripes flowing beneath. Several small American flags, like the ones you might wave at a parade, hang above the banner, but beneath the streetlights.City Hall, the Emporium, the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor, the Carnation Café, and several other building facades on Main Street, U.S.A., are decorated with red, white, and blue bunting. Scaffolding wrapped in decorative scrim and construction walls surround several of these buildings, but the interior shops, restaurants, and guest experiences remain open throughout the ongoing refurbishment work.Disney California Adventure Park (and EPCOT) will celebrate America’s 250th birthday with the Soarin’ Over America overlay.
