Four-time Group 1 victor Ivanhowe sired the top two lots for a combined €830,000 during Arqana's Grand Steeple Sale at Auteuil on Saturday.Leading the way was lot 13, Isaac Of York, who sold for €500,000 to Ryan Mahon, Dan Skelton Racing and Manresa Agency. Offered by trainer Mathieu Pitart, the listed winner over jumps also finished second in the G2 Prix Amadou over this course in April.Under the Group 2-winning second dam is group scorer Tertullus (Monsun), while farther back are the group-winning sires Turfkonig and Tiberius Caesar.Also by Ivanhowe, AQPS Nils Holgerson (lot 9) caught the eye of Nathaniel Barnett and Olly Murphy for €330,000. Part of the Hugo Merienne consignment, the bay won on debut over 2850 metres at Sable-sur-Sarthe on April 19.Walk In The Park's Darby O'Gill (lot 15) changed hands for €260,000 to JP McGrath Bloodstock Limited and TJ Bloodstock from trainers N George and A Zetterholm. Placed once in two races, the son of dual Grade 1-winning chaser Shattered Love (Yeats) is also kin to a pair of stakes winners in the NH sphere in Irish Cavalier (Aussie Rules) and Make A Track (Hernando).Of the 14 horses offered, four sold (29%) for a gross of €1,165,000.
