Danny Rohl has confirmed that Rangers will work on re-signing Mikey Moore from Tottenham Hotspur this summer. The 18-year-old has been a shining light in a poor season for the club, having signed on loan from Spurs for the 2025/26 campaign.Moore may well have made his last appearance for RangersGettyMoore hit seven goals and four assists in 47 appearances, and even scored away to bitter rivals Celtic in their 3-1 league victory in January. He will now leave Rangers and return to north London, where he is set to meet new Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi ahead of pre-season.However, head coach Rohl made it clear after the 5-2 win over Falkirk in their Scottish Premiership finale that he wants Moore to return.Asking for Moore“We are very clear as a club (with) what we want but there are still three parties, and we are just one of them,” he said.“Mikey, I think he fits really well here, I totally believe we can bring him to the next level as well. “He has his position, I think also the relationship with Tuur (Rommens) and Mikey next year could be a strong left side as well.“But we have to do a lot of things right now, and this is our job to do.”Rohl was then asked about the possibility of waiting towards the end of the transfer window to re-sign Moore.“I think we have to be patient, but also on the front foot with him,” he insisted. “We are clear, we will try everything. “Maybe, if there’s a chance, and it makes sense to wait for him then of course, we will wait.Rohl is hoping to see Moore back in a Rangers shirt next seasonGetty“But if you ask me, then I would have him straight in (for) pre-season. I prepare my team for a good start in the season. “Of course, it’s important, you cannot allow to come so far from behind in a new season, we have to start really well, really strong. We have to work hard to get a great performance and a great start.”What has Moore said on his future? On Friday, Moore was asked if he expected his future to be sorted out early in the summer or if he’s prepared to wait for next season’s club.“For me now, it’s hard, because it’s the same as last year,” he replied.“A new manager was in at Tottenham (Thomas Frank) and I had to go back in, see what he was saying about me and then see what everyone was doing.“So I think, to be honest, it will be the same sort of process. There’s a new manager at Spurs at the minute and obviously I’m a Spurs player.Moore knows what to expect this summer when it comes to deciding his futureGetty“We’ll have to see what he says about me, what he wants me to do, what the people around me want me to do.“I think that’s all I can say at the minute. I’m going to go back there, see what the new people say in the building and from there, I’ll make a decision.”Rangers finished third in the 2025/26 Scottish Premiership season after being part of a three-way title battle. It was Celtic who won the league on the final day with a 3-1 win over Hearts, who went into the match as leaders by a point. However, the celebrations were marred by a pitch invasion in which Hearts players are said to have been physically and verbally abused. They have confirmed that they are in dialogue with Police Scotland.
