I’m sorry…what? At one point I helped a lady from our church, she had dementia and the family wanted to keep her home as long as possible. I picked up 16 hours every other Saturday, it was fun and relatively easy. I got paid $25/hr for that. And this was 10 years ago. Some days, we would sit outside in the shade and wave at cars and bikers for hours. Some days we would watch football. But I got paid.
