I can understand that you would want to move into a clean space if you are staying there to help them out financially (especially with a child). Was it agreed upon prior to moving in that you would have to tend to the livestock, garden and clean up from their catering jobs to use their kitchen? If not, I’d be out of there so fast. You said you had your own home but we’re doing this so they could spend more time with your child. If there is mold there it is a serious health issue to be there. I suggest you both find a place near enough they can visit and get the heck out of there. You shouldn’t have to help them pay their debts with rent to them, run their farm and be a housekeeper because they made bad financial decisions. For your mental health and the health of you all being exposed to mold, you need to move out ASAP. If it means leaving your fiancé there, that sucks, but you have to take care of you and your child. I am sorry you ended up in this situation under the guise of them seeing their grandchild (if they are running a catering business I assume they are too busy cooking at home and then leave) and helping them with debt. Please run, don’t walk out of that place!
