Malta’s election campaign is getting a full festival-style makeover, with both major political parties preparing large-scale entertainment-driven events ahead of the general election.The Labour Party has already confirmed that its upcoming mass meeting at the Victor Tedesco Stadium this Sunday will feature international music acts Fragma, La Bouche and Christina Novelli.Speaking during the party’s Isma’ Dean podcast, PL CEO Leonid McKay described the event as a concert-style experience blending political speeches with live entertainment and large-scale production.Meanwhile, the Nationalist Party is also preparing its own large event in Sliema ahead of election day.Lovin Malta has received information from party insiders claiming the PN’s final event on 28 May at Luxol is being rebranded as a “Mass Festival” rather than a traditional political mass meeting.Sources also told Lovin Malta that the party is teasing a major international performer, with insiders describing the mystery guest as one of the world’s current top five DJs who regularly headlines some of the globe’s biggest music festivals.The event is expected to take place just two days before Malta heads to the polls on 30 May.Which event sounds bigger to you?•
