A 2003-batch IAS officer, Padma Jaiswal, has been dismissed by the Centre over corruption charges dating back to 2007-08. The action follows a recommendation from the Department of Personnel and Training and final approval from the President of India. Jaiswal was accused of misusing her official position and misappropriating funds while serving as Deputy Commissioner in Arunachal Pradesh.
