Ultra-endurance swimmer Neil Agius has shared a breathtaking throwback to one of the most memorable moments from his record-breaking swim around Gozo.Posting footage from Dwejra’s iconic Inland Sea, Agius revealed the clip was captured on the final day of his seven-day expedition last year, during which he completed seven swims in seven days, each covering 42km.By the end of the challenge, Agius had swum an incredible 271km around Gozo’s coastline.“Being fully immersed in nature, swimming beneath Gozo’s cliffs, along that inspiring coastline is something I still think about today,” he wrote alongside the video. The footage showcases the crystal-clear waters of the Inland Sea before Agius heads through the famous tunnel connecting the sheltered lagoon to the open Mediterranean, offering a glimpse into one of Malta’s most spectacular natural landmarks.Even a year later, it’s clear the challenge, and Gozo’s rugged beauty, has left a lasting impression on the Maltese endurance athlete.Video credits to @neil.agius View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lovin Malta (@lovinmalta)•
