Pro-war and pro-genocide United States Senator Lindsey Graham died yesterday. He will be remembered as a bloodthirsty warmonger who cheered on the deaths of millions of innocent people in the brutal and unprovoked wars of aggression that were waged by the US national-security state and its allies. Graham was so hawkish that he often critiqued the US regime for insufficiently waging wars of aggression to his liking. Graham will be remembered for calling on the Israeli regime to replicate in Gaza the war crimes that the US regime carried out against Japanese and German civilians during World War II.Caitlin Johnstone wrote, “Ever since the death of Graham’s dear friend John McCain, nobody on Capitol Hill has been able to match his gleeful enthusiasm for the shredding of human bodies using high-priced war machinery. Wherever there was any debate about dropping bombs, launching missiles, toppling foreign governments, arming proxy forces, or imposing starvation sanctions, you could always count on Lindsey Graham to be the first and loudest voice arguing in favor of more death and destruction.”Senator Graham will also be remembered as an enthusiastic supporter of the ongoing illegal war of aggression against Iran, which included the US regime striking an elementary school in Iran that murdered over 160 children. Ana Kasparian wrote on social media that she was “elated” and “overjoyed” over Graham’s death “just like he was elated at seeing countless dead children throughout Middle East.”Graham leaves behind a despicable legacy of advocating for wars that have caused immense suffering around the world. While Graham will be missed by the “Epstein class”, the Israel lobby and the US national-security state, I am confident that he will not be missed by people of goodwill throughout the world who want to live in peace and prosperity.
