According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur have rejected an offer of £46 million for Lucas Bergvall. The offer, bigger that the one previously submitted by Nottingham Forest for the services of the midfielder, still wasn’t enough.Bergvall has informed Spurs of his preference to leave North London and seek for a new challenge elsewhere following the arrivals of Mateus Fernandes from West Ham and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle, and Spurs would be willing to sell, but only for what they deem would be a suitable price. Their expectations on that front obviously haven’t been met. Even higher bids have apparently been rejected.Newcastle were close to signing Switzerland international Johan Manzambi from Freiburg, but he chose to move to Aston Villa instead in order to play Champions League football.Last season, Bergvall made a total of 33 appearances for Spurs, scoring once and contributing five assists, while missing two months of action following a high sprain on his left ankle in January. The post Spurs reject Newcastle offer for Lucas Bergvall appeared first on SoccerNews.
