A confrontation in Florida has just gone viral. When a man was allegedly bullied out of a restaurant, the poster got really upset on his behalf and decided to make a stand. It began with her doing the more annoying version of what she claimed the ‘bully’ was upset about. Then, they confronted her, and she let loose, “cussing” them out on what she perceived as entitlement. The resulting series gained over 30 million views on Instagram and TikTok. The video was uploaded by a content creator named Twig (@heyitstwig). She noted that a man at a neighboring table, later identified as Ryan, had been at the location for over an hour. He was purportedly minding his own business, listening to music, and taking a few phone calls. She claimed that two women then came by with children and chose to sit right next to him, despite there being plenty of other empty tables available. According to Twig, the older woman in the group allegedly told Ryan, “Can you go somewhere else? You’re being so rude.” When he pushed back, things escalated. Twig eventually chimed in, telling the woman, “Ma’am, he was here first, and he’s not bothering anybody. You can move.” The woman doubled down, claiming, “Well, there’s no tables inside, and it’s so rude to be on your phone. This is a public place, and you’re just being so inconsiderate and rude.” Ryan chose to leave, Twig chose to stay Per Twig’s post, he told the woman, “Ma’am, I was here before you,” only for her to dismiss him with, “It doesn’t matter!” Twig then made her feelings clear, telling the woman, “Your entitlement is literally insane.” Ryan tells the woman that he is willing to leave if that is what she prefers. When she seemed to respond in the affirmative, he began packing up. Twig protested, but he told her that it was ok. “I have a four-year-old son, and I would happily move out of my way.” He did, however, tell the older woman that what she was doing was not a “good example,” in reference to the children present with her. Twig agreed, noting, “Like in front of kids is crazy.” Then he left. As he walked away, he said, “Have a good day, y’all.” In the video, the older woman thanked him. However, Twig was upset and decided to stand up for him by actually being annoying on a call. View this post on Instagram Social media was rather opinionated about the situation. TikTok had a mixed reaction, with many pointing out that taking calls was rude and calling out Twig’s language. Instagram, however, largely took her side. One user commented, “If she wants an entitled quiet space, she should go to a library.” When it comes to entitlement as a whole, one mom has advice on how to deal with nosy strangers: “lie.” A user identified himself as Ryan on Instagram and shared his take on the situation. He wrote, “Wow had no idea this was going to blow up so fast. Yep, this is me. Wasn’t trying to bother anyone, which is why I was outside to begin with. I honestly didn’t think it was real at first because they had been sitting there for probably ten minutes and I was already on the call when they sat down,” he noted. The older woman involved in the confrontation has not been identified or contacted for comment, so her side of the exchange isn’t available. @ ♬ – When the women allegedly took issue with Twig’s phone call, she retaliated. In a second video, Twig explained why she chose confrontation. She said, “I cussed a woman out in front of her children today, and I don’t regret it. Let me tell you why. If you are going to bring your children into a public place, act a fool, and show your a**, and show your entitlement with no shame, I’m going to have no shame cussing your a** out in front of your children.” In the actual video of the confrontation, she told the woman, “You’re an entitled c**t, and I don’t care if your six-year-old’s here or not. Act better. Do better.” She kept the pressure on until they walked away, telling the younger woman, “Take your old hag and go somewhere else. God forbid other people exist in public the same as you do, right?” In a different instance, an entitled tourist took to TikTok to complain about the lack of English in a non-English-speaking country. @ ♬ – While TikTok’s reaction to the series was mixed, with some users criticizing Twig’s language and pointing out that Ryan taking calls in public wasn’t unreasonable, the response on Instagram at the end of the series leaned largely supportive.
