Our Moneyman (Mr. Money) (hip 365), a hard-charging second in Saturday's GIII Indiana Derby, topped the Fasig-Tipton July Select Horses of Racing Age Sale on a final bid of $2,000,000.Purchased Tuesday by Pedro Lanz, the 3-year-old was consigned by Hunter Valley Farm as agent for owner/breeder Allied Racing Stable (Chester Thomas) who also raced the colt's sire.“Well, we just made bets back here in the back ring before we came in and I said he'd bring $1.85-million,” said Thomas. “My lovely wife Jennifer said he'd bring two million. So she wins. So I got to buy dinner tonight.”In addition to his placing in the Indiana Derby, Our Moneyman also ran second in the GIII Matt Winn Stakes at Churchill Downs June 7 and has never been off the board in nine starts with earnings of over $392,000.“We bring a lot of horses,” Thomas continued of the decision to supplement Our Moneyman to the sale. “We race a lot of horses. And what makes it really hard for me is I love racing and I'm competitive. But I also know that if you were going to sell a horse and get the most for him, today was the day.” @Fergalvin of @HunterValleyKY discusses late #FasigHORA addition OUR MONEYMAN, a spectacular second in Saturday's Indiana Derby (G3) and a colt whose numbers reflect a quality on par with this year's top 3YO colts. pic.twitter.com/ZYhR0Dz9s2— Fasig-Tipton (@FasigTiptonCo) July 13, 2026The post ‘Today Was The Day’ As Indiana Derby Runner Up Our Moneyman Brings $2 Million At Fasig July appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
