India has granted a seven-month exemption to renewable energy projects under open access and net metering, allowing them to use imported solar cells without complying with the ALMM-II (Approved List of Models and Manufacturers for cells) requirement until December 2026. The earlier exemption had lapsed on May 31, after ALMM-II norms kicked in from June 1.
