So since I’m one of the only donors in the sub (many have given up, and after this do have I) so quite a few of them really watch my back and a few others because… ya know. So I saw a wishlist and clicked. It was all fresh organic food, some non essentials, a 12 pack of Mountain Dew kickback, and some other garbage junk food all brand name. Everyone nicely said we can’t ship fresh food (Amazon rules) and she kept insisting if you don’t like her list move along and “poor people deserve nice things too.” All the usual nonsense. People were like no we CANT send that, physically. She kept going getting ruder and ruder, claiming she seems people ask for clothes and coffee, why can’t her boyfriend have Mountain Dew kickback? So then everyone started picking it apart, if you’re gonna beg online put essential off brand items, we wouldn’t buy ourselves xyz, etc. Then she claimed the $1600 was for the lot rent for a trailer. Then the landlord was fine with it a day later. Then it was an apartment. Then it was the phone bill. Then she was a dog groomer working since she was 18, but they were unemployed. The snowball kept coming. Full on scammer emotional manipulation attempts. “Someone” donated $20. We suspect that was an alt account. The “fulfilled wishlist” was all the items at once. We suspect it wasn’t a grinch and was just her deleting the items on the wishlist to seem like it was bought. Notice how she doesn’t really harp on it because we decided to ignore it happened for the most part, so she didn’t keep going with “some nice person bought and donated!” The original and second alt have been banned from Reddit. So has the second group.
