Anthony Joshua issues invite to Tyson Fury as tensions ramp up for crunch fight week

Anthony Joshua has invited Tyson Fury to his comeback fight so that the pair can finally share a face-off.Joshua and Fury have signed on the dotted line to face each other in a blockbuster heavyweight clash, that is expected to land in the final quarter of 2026.Joshua wants Fury to attend his fight with Prenga in Saudi ArabiaGettyBut first the pair must get through their respective warm-up fights, with Fury first up against Mariusz Wach on July 24.Then a day later, Joshua will take on Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia with victories for both to set up the clash.At Fury’s previous tune-up against Arslanbek Makhmudov in April, Joshua sat ringside.But despite getting into a verbal altercation, Joshua decided not to step in the ring and hold a face-off with his long-term foe.Although now AJ insists he is ready to do exactly that, and has invited the Morecambe native to his clash.He told DAZN: “If he wants to come in the ring when I win July 25th, feel welcome. Come into my territory. “I’m the landlord. I’m going to welcome you into my home. You don’t welcome me into your home.“I’ve been in that position before where I’ve signed contracts with Fury. “So, I didn’t play into the games. I’m not there for games. If the contract was signed, I would have got in the ring.“I was there on a scouting mission. I want to see what my future opponents are going to look like. I saw a lot. Joshua has his eyes fixed firmly on Fury and will begin preparations providing he beats Prenga“I saw some good.
