/u/chipsandslip on Help OOP get $2500 worth of stuff from Walmart bc they “lost everything”, and want everything to be replaced on your dime. OOP must have a stand mixer, 2 office chairs, a king frame & mattress, a TV, 2 couches, a bike & a lawn mower. No

An $80 bottle warmer is crazy. I breastfed and pumped and we just carried a thermos with hot water and another thermos or larger cup we could put the bottle inside. Dump hot water into the second thermos or cup, add bottle, gently swirl until warm. Even if you have to buy a thermos for that, it’s not $80. Also unless you have a medically complex child, nobody needs a bottle washer, sterilizer, and dryer combo. Hell, I had(have) a medically complex child who was my second, and my husband and I hated this contraption so much that both of us just quietly never got it out of the cabinet when #2 was born. I sold it a few months later and that was the only time we ever spoke of it again. I understand wanting a new sleep surface for baby because secondhand fabric can be weird, but nobody needs name brand pack and play either. Buy the cheaper ones for $40-50. (I never minded used though and ended up selling my bassinet for the same price I bought it, two kids later.) And a record player? Lawnmower? TV? Two office chairs? Air fryer? Stand mixer? I got mine second hand and love it. At least she’s asking for the refurbished one…? I can understand a bed and a toaster and some knives and maybe a couch, but those bookshelves are too expensive. Grandma should buy the bike for the kid.
